The Pre Paid MasterCard in the UK is based upon the very successful American Pay As You Go credit card. Essentially it allows the cardholder to have access to the MasterCatd international payment platform without the need for a pre approved credit agreement.

For many individuals with a less than perfect credit rating this has enabled them to have all the functionality of a credit card without the need for a credit check in order to obtain credit apporoval.

The Cashplus Pay As You Go MasterCard was launched in the UK in 2005 and represents the first Pre Paid Credit Card in the UK.
